Last week, a Canadian Navy ship spilled 8,000 gallons of oil fuel into the Strait of Georgia, off the southwestern coast of Canada. Canada's Department of National Defense is responsible for the cleanup of the spill, and is being supported by the Canadian Coast Guard. It's too early to tell the exact damages on the marine life and fisheries in the area, but a spill of this size is detrimental.
This is another example of modern technological advancements polluting the Earth. The ship was old, and precautions were not taken to prevent a spill like this. I believe that oil spills, emissions, and pollution all alike should be prevented. Alas, we have done irreversible damage already woot woot.

We need to protect the ocean and put environment overall. Accidents like this should not happen.
ReplyDeleteThat's tons of wasted oil/fuel, and it probably just killed tons of sea life which will hurt the environments flow.
ReplyDeletethis is a major problem that needs to be resolved.
ReplyDeleteJoaquin Sanchez- these oil spills happen way too often
ReplyDeleteThere needs to be more safety restrictions on these oil carrying ships. These spills waste millions of dollars worth of oil and kill a lot of sealife which is both unacceptable.
