Homeless man rescues 2 children from a burning building

This past week, there was an apartment fire in a neighborhood in Las Vegas. A homeless man reports to have "seen [the] smoke coming from the building" and heard "screams of children coming from inside." Anival Angulo, the man, immediately pulled away the screen door in order to save the babies inside. His instinct told him that " [he] knew he had to get them out." He was blue to save the babies as well as a 3-year-old girl, all of whom had been staying with their grandfather. "Animal Angulo certainly saved the childrens' lives" stated the Las Vegas Fire and Rescue Department. Because of this man's courageous actions, the children only suffered minor burns.

The message of this article is bravery and the positive outcomes that result when one acts as so. If this man hadn't put others before himself the children may not have survived. This relates to apush because of the bravery of Harriet Tubman and her efforts of the Underground Railroad. She put other's lives ahead of her own, in order to ensure freedom for many more than herself. She demonstrated courage just as the man who saved the children did.

This is so amazing! I feel like sometimes homeless people have such a terrible stereotype. The fact that this man was willing to risk his life for children he didn't even know is so inspiring.
