Dina Powell is the Deputy National Security Advisor and "a key trusted advisor in the administration" as stated by Sarah Sanders. She has been deeply involved in the Middle East policy, Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel jeopardizing the U.S. role in any peace process. Her departure was expected as she was only planning to serve one year before going back to her home in New York. Powell is viewed by many as a valuable member of the team and will be involved in future matters.
I didn't know anything about her, but i have mixed feelings about her resignation, she is a woman and i believe having influential women in Washington is important, but we have differing political views.
