Carlo Lomas - Beneath the Skin

Horrific cuts cover her son's body after he's shot dead by Chicago police, and Cynthia Lane wants answers. A yearlong investigation by CNN's Rosa Flores shows the truth is not always black and white. In fear for his life, a Chicago police officer shoots an armed black teen. At least, that’s one version of the story. What really happened the day Roshad McIntosh died? Big questions remain after a yearlong investigation into the 19-year-old’s death. Flores presses the City of Chicago for answers.

Some may think that accidents like this tend to wonder in the minds of the common people about how they happened and what was the reason behind it. I looked more into this case and I can tell that this was just another act of racism in our everyday lives, however, this one went a little bit too far. I feel that if the 19-year-old wasn't carrying and gun, the outcome  would of been different.

  1. This may be considered an act of racism but I believe that maybe Roshad McIntosh was in the wrong place at the wrong time. This is wrong that the police shot Roshad just because he was armed. There's a possibility that Roshad could've had it for self protection. The 2nd amendment protects this situation.
