Seanelle Higgins: Two Men Fined for a Terrible Act

Summary: Recently, as the most Canadian news you've ever heard,  two men were fined $8,000 in British Columbia for swimming on a moose.  After sharing their new video on the internet, the video was immediately flagged and sent to the conservation office in B. Colombia.   The investigation took a year, but the two men in the video were convicted and charged for their crime.  Apparently, the two were already being hostile towards the wildlife,  hitting them with their boat and pestering them. Eventually the two plead guilty and the money will be going to a local conservationist group.

Analysis: I find this story hilarious. Two young, white men thinking that they can do whatever they want on vacation actually getting convicted of their crimes is music to my ears. The environment and wildlife is constantly being unaccounted for when vacation season comes around,  it is largely unfair to these animals that were simply trying to live their life be bothered by these two boys. I am glad they got convicted and will pay a fine. Hopefully,  the conservationist group will put the money to good use.
