Madison Harvey - Woman dies after drinking herbal tea

Summary:  A woman in her 50s became critically ill and died after drinking a poisonous herbal tea she made from tea leaves she purchased in San Francisco's China Town.  Public health officials are urging anyone that purchased tea from Sun Wing Wo Trading Company to throw it away.  Shortly after she drank the tea she experienced weakness and life threatening abnormal heart rhythms, which required resuscitation and immediate medical attention.  She remained in the hospital and passed away on Saturday.  Two other people became critically ill from drinking tea purchased from the same location but have recovered.  Lab results found in the patients and the tea samples, Aconite, a plant-based toxin.  Public health officials have removed the products from the store shelves and are tracing the source of the contamination.
