Izzy Brown- Electronics banned on flights to and from America

Summary: Some flights coming from the Middle East and Africa have been banned from taking most electronics on board in passengers' cabins. US officials believe that this screening will further prevent any threats. There is speculation that these screenings have to do with Al Qaeda. Another US official said there has been concern about attacks via electronics.


Analysis/Synthesis: Airplane travel precautions like these have always been around; electronics aren't the only things that have been banned on an airplane. As far as belongings go, I don't think it's ridiculous to be too safe with security measures such as this. There's only a problem if only certain groups of people based on their skin color and/or religion are only targeted with this new rule. This too isn't anything new, prejudice towards Muslim passengers is still very real.
