Jimmy Carter is cancer free! Bella Morris, 5th Period

Jimmy Carter announced today, that he is officially cancer free. After a long fight and a MRI brain scan, there were no signs or cancerous spots in his brain. Carter reveled the news in front of a Sunday School class he was teaching at Maranatha Baptist Church, in Plains, Georgia. "The church, everybody here, just erupted in applause." Mr Carter - won the Nobel Peace prize for his commitment to finding peaceful solutions to international conflicts and his work with human rights and democracy initiatives. In June this year, Carter had part of his liver removed due to cancer tumors. After the removal, he then found out that the cancer had spread to his brain, the cancer was in four places. Even if Carter wasn't the best president… It's always great to hear a story on positivity and the strength of cancer survivors.
