US police hold man in 'road rage' killing of four-year-old Jasmine Rodriguez Period 4

This article is about a young girl and her father who were victims of a tragedy. Another car had pulled up beside them and shot them. A storm had washed away a lot of the clues, making it difficult for the police to detect details of the incident. The police is also unsure of what caused the incident, or if it really happened for no specific reason (hard to imagine). A potential cause of the situation, as said by the father (victim), is road rage.

This article relates to the right to bear arms. The person who shot the girl and her father easily got hold of a gun, whether it was under legal terms or not. It should not have been so easy for this man to get a hold of a gun. The background checks should be striker in order to have the right to own a gun. These types of incidents are happening frequently in today's world, both small scale and mass shootings, and something needs to be done about it soon.

  1. This is horrible! I think incidents involving firearms like this are definitely appropriate to draw an argument regarding the right to bear arms. -Sophie Kurzius (8)
