Claudia Anthony "Homeless emergency declared in Hawaii"

Homelessness is currently a serious issue Hawaii. Hawaii has the highest rate of homelessness per capita in all of the 50 states. Due to this, the governor signed an emergency proclamation on Friday that will benefit homeless citizens of all ages. The proclamation set a budget of $1.3 million to fund homeless shelters and to help set up permanent homes for families.

I think it is wonderful that the state's government has created this proclamation and I hope that it significantly decreases the amount of homeless people in Hawaii. I like that they are willing to help these people rather than just seeing them as a hopeless burden. The state's effort to help all of its people reminds me of the nationalism that filled America during and directly after the revolution. These people are coming together as one to help the entire state become a better place, just like Americans came together to create a a free land.

Undergoing a vasectomy isn't the frightening or serious endeavor, it used to be, which is precisely why more British men than ever before are going under the knife. For a variety of health reasons right through to a simple desire to prevent future pregnancies, vasectomies are incredibly commonplace today - more so than ever before. However, at the same time there has also been a massive increase in the number of men looking to undergo vasectomy reversal procedures at the hands of a qualified vasectomy reversal surgeon.

Good for Hawaii! Im glad that they took this step, and i hope that other places will soon follow in its footsteps. It is very important not to forget about the homeless population.

  4. I think it's good that Hawaii is taking action on one of their main problems. It's refreshing to see a state take such action to help a cause that benefits their whole state. I think Hawaii is setting an example for the rest of the states to act issues like homelessness. -Mattie Whisler 9th period Flex

  7. I am glad that Hawaii is taking measures to address this problem and I hope that they are successful in their endeavor. I believe that other states should follow Hawaii's example of seeing an issue, discussing the best plan, and then taking actions. I feel like a lot of the time, people have problems, but they don't do anything to solve them. This is a pattern the United States needs to break.
