Man wins lottery, killed by cyanide poisoning by Carter Brown

The case of Urooj Khan, an Illinois scratch-off winner of 1 million dollars, death is being re-investigated after receiving notification that Urooj Khan had an unhealthy amount of Cyanide in his body at the time of his death. Originally officials believed he died of natural causes, but after being prompted by a relative, the case was re opened and new information was found.

I thought this story was pretty fascinating. A man wins 1 million dollars from the lottery and then he is mysteriously found dead the next month. Scary... The fact that he was poisoned really says something. I am assuming someone wanted him dead in order to receive the money he won..

  2. This is very suspicious. The part that interested me was that the initial investigation was so innacurate. Did they not do a biopsy or anything? They just chalked it up to natural causes and closed the case? And once a relative prompted to reopen the case they just coincidentally said, "Oh yeah, look, there's a bunch of poison in his body. Didn't see that there. Hmm." Like what? lol
