Four-year old shoots man in Richmond by Andres Munoz

A man in his 50′s was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was shot by a child inside his home Sunday morning.
The shooting, called accidental, happened in the 2300 block of Whitcomb Street.
It’s not just police wanting answers about the shooting, neighbors said they’re concerned after learning a four-year old had gotten a gun and accidentally fired a shot.
That bullet hits a relative in the home who is now serious condition at VCU Medical Center.
Richmond Police said the call came in at 11:20 Sunday morning.
Officers arrived to find the man with a life threatening injury.
Neighbors said they’re shocked to hear it was a four-year old who pulled the trigger and some said they fear video games are partially to blame.
Others say guns need to be locked up and out of sight.

Video games are what we find to blame for such an obvious problem. If you're going to keep a gun in the house you should keep it as much out of kids reach as possible. No matter what the object is if a kid sees something he has never seen before he is going to play with it. A simple solution to accidental gun violence is simply to take better care of your guns.http://wtvr.com/2013/01/14/accidental-shooting-richmond/?hpt=us_bn8
