George Bush who was the United States 41st President has recently passed away in his home in Houston. He was 94 years of age and died eight months after the death of his wife, Barbara. Bush had developed Parkinson’s disease and his health was decreasing which caused him to use a motorized scooter. He served as a Republican President from 1989 to 1993. He was a Navy pilot World War II veteran, a diplomat, Congressman, CIA director, and Vice President to Ronald Reagan. His resume preceded him in his entrance to the White House as the next President.
This article was published by The New York Times and written by Adam Nagourney who mainly focuses on U.S. politics. It also includes a biography of his early years leading up to presidency such as family and schooling. Bush can be connected to our other former President, George W. Bush, who was his son and served as our 43rd President. The audience of this article are the people of the United States to inform the readers of the loss and great accomplishments made by this man. People can hopefully appreciate the work this man did to serve his country, even if you do not agree with his beliefs.
