Marine Le Pen Summoned By Judges Over Fake Job Scandal - Kate Kahle

Marine Le Pen, the frontrunner in France's impending election, was summoned by a judge on Friday for misusing European Union funds. This development comes only one day after European Parliament stripped the leader of Le Front Nationelle of her immunity from prosecution over a separate case, which shows there are layers to the corruption of Le Pen and Le Front Nationelle. Both Le Pen's campaign manager and body guard are also being investigated. However, LePen is not the only French Presidential hopeful under investigation right now, with Francois Fillon facing charges for paying his wife and children for work they did not do.
The current French president, Francois Hollande has had an administration rife with scandal, however most of it has been personal and familial issues. France has no laws that allow them to impeach the president on moral grounds like we do here in the United States, which is why, although he is a terrible person with abysmally low approval ratings, Francois Hollande has retained his office.
This just goes to show the terrible corruption that all people who would want to be politicians are almost guaranteed to be a part of, because only self-serving, power-hungry people would ever want to be politicians.
