Just after two years of a racial accident that happened at a birthday party who was for Melissa Alford's children, Melissa is still too scared every singe day. What happened at the birthday party was that a group of armed people called themselves " respect the flag" and they crashed the party pulling out weapons like guns and knives. They started to threaten to kill the guests and used racist comments. Jose Torres was sentenced 13 years in prison and Kayla Norton was sentenced to six years in prison.
Melissa is still terrified till this day that something like this will happen again. This just goes to show how anything can happen to anyone and how scary it must have been to have still traumatized. This also shows how racism did not die down over the years. Clearly it did not. This can be related to a lot of things that's happening right now.
