Lady Gaga visits Shelter - Wallis Brown

Lady Gaga, international pop star, decided on monday, to take a trip to a homeless shelter in Harlem, specifically The Ali Forney Center in Harlem, a shelter aimed at giving Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual , and Transsexual youths a home, after being kicked out of their parents'. When asked about how these acts of kindness have changed her worldview, and herself, Gaga replied, "I'm sure there's many people who would say 'Lady Gaga's not [a] role model. Did you see this performance? Did you see that performance?' But the truth is that when I was younger... I didn't quite understand the amount of attention that I had [or] the amount of people that would listen to me."

I have never really been a fan of Lady Gaga, sure I like a couple of her songs, but I wasn't sure about her personality as a whole. Honestly, even after seeing her personality, I can't say that I'll listen to her music, as it isn't really my taste. However, even if I don't follow her career, I find her way of thinking quite admirable, the way she acknowledges how some things she did in the past, might not bring forth a lot of respect for her. Overall, I respect her decision to spend time practicing kindness.
