Student shoots himself at Kimball High School in Dallas
Monday, May 2nd, a student at Kimball High School in Dallas was rushed by an ambulance to a hospital. The student supposedly "accidentally" shot himself after his first period. The fifteen-year-old came into the building late with school already being in session with the gun, so he didn't have to go through the metal detectors. The child was going to a conference at the school with his parent, so nothing was being observed. With one shot being fired, the student was killed and the school was put on lockdown. Police are still observing the crime and investigating the scene trying to put all of the facts together.
This happened today, so this event is still so fresh/current. There will be more answers to this story throughout the week as police gather the information together. This story is just horrific in that fact that you never know what people are going to do, always stay alert and aware. Adding to that, this goes to show the district that no matter if you are late to school or whatever the story may be, it doesn't hurt to keep the metal detectors on with guards by them.
