The FDA has changed the way they label food. After a push from Michelle Obama, and even with pushback from major food companies, the law has gone into place. It includes changing portion size to reflect the actual American diet, having a special place for added sugars and making calories bigger (the font size). Most nutritionists agree this is a good thing.
I think this is great, it reminds me of all the progressive era stuff, and the muckracker who wrote "The Jungle", Upton Sinclair, which resulted in the passage of the food and drug laws. This is a more advanced version, and it is exciting to see that we are still making changes.
