Saltwater Brewery began producing edible and biodegradable six-pack rings to slow the amount of marine animals dying each year from being captured in the harmful plastic variation. Although there are still obvious design flaws, such as the time it takes for the decomposition process if an animal were trapped in the ring, it holds the possibility of a great alternative and can make a great difference in interaction with marine life.
