Summary: The National Security Agency is trying to stay ahead on threats by occasionally using software flaws to hack computers and online networks. To multiple people this seems to be a positive while others find this as a negative. Not only is this a cyber security arms race with nations such as Russia and China, who could eventually take advantage of vulnerable flaws. Some provide with the statement that this is a violation, and that the government should not be attacking networks or systems at all."The U.S. is one of the most heavily dependent on networked communications infrastructure and computer systems in the world," Gillmor says. "We have a deep well of technical expertise in this country, and we should be using it defensively to improve the security of the networks and infrastructure that everyone relies on."
Analysis: Remember when that attorney Mitchell A. Palmer decided to go house to house with unwanted searches because he wanted to "PROTECT" his nation from communism. Whether or not i think the NSA might be reading this blog and laughing over how ridiculous this debate is, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, Do you think this is making it safer for us or are they taking your privacy?
