Every once in a while selfie-related deaths pop up in the news. An example is when a teenager from India was killed while trying to take a picture of himself in front of an incoming train. Since 2014, 49 people have been reported dead as a result of an incident involving a selfie. Most of them were about the age of 21 and 75% of them were male. The most dangerous places to take a  selfie is on a tall building, cliff, and near water. 16 people have fallen off a cliff or building and 14 drowned. The selfie, however, is not to be blamed. Of all the cases, not a single one was caused by the selfie itself. The selfie serves as a distraction in situations where the person should be focused on safety.
Honestly it is awful how people can be easily killed because of a little thing. People should be careful where they take pictures and be more cautious around there surroundings. This reminds me  of when women worked in mills and worked with cotton wheels. If they were careful, their hair could get stuck and get pulled in the machine.
