Summery: 40 light years away, scientists have discovered 3 habbitable planets. Although the star that sustains them is much smaller and cooler than the sun, they are long-lived and able to sustain life. Scientists for 60 nights studied their light and orbit patterns. It is possible that they have water and an atomosphere, possibly plants as well. The planets are very similar to how our sun earth and moon behave. This is a big discovery because we did not know that dwarf stars could sustain life before.
analysis: Space discoveries are very interesting because by learning about the behavior of other planets, were learning about the behavior of ours as well. The universe is extremely large and the fact that dwarf stars were overlooked before is amazing, because apparently they can do more than most regular stars! (dont judge a book by its cover, am i right ladies??) Anyways, US history just seems so insignificant compared to how vast and beautiful our universe is. The truth is we really have no idea to how many planets are like us even within the relatively near proximity of being in the same galaxy as us. We will never have any idea what we are contributing to.
