Summary:
A passionate 15 year old named Xiuhtezcatl Tonatiuh threatened to sue President Obama for the lack of progress in replacing fossil fuels. In doing so, he is thinking about his kids, their kids, and so on and the negative impacts climate change will have on future generations.
Opinion:
I agree with Xiuhtezcatl. He is right that not enough is being done, and the reason for this lack of progress in my opinion is the few major companies that make unfathomable amounts of money off oil, for example. They don't want to give up their profit. I recently saw a documentary about this called "Thrive" that goes in depth about this topic, for anyone interested. Also, it is imperative for future generations that we make the switch to more sustainable renewable energy ASAP, as Xiuhtezcatl Tonatiuh said in his interview with CNN.
Analysis:
This all started with boomtowns like Spindletop in 1901, where oil became the new gold. Despite the recent boom in oil exploitation within the last 114 years, the damage and industrial progress has increased exponentially and thus so has the damage.

I agree that this is a problem that's often pushed to the back burner, but I think it is a bit excessive and ridiculous that he is suing the president. Global Warming is not one man's issue. It's all of ours and we all need to take responsibility. It seems like this boy is suing out of passion for the earth and ignorance of how this country is run. There's more that goes on than just dismissing issues and pointing fingers.
