Fall Fires // Kai Jones 1st period

Forest fires in Texas are still burning. the dryness of the forest land made it very susceptible to fire and the strong winds increased it. The increase of wildfires is believed to be an effect of El Niño. El Niño is an occurrence in the Pacific Ocean that makes weather more severe. Texas along with several other states is suffering from this drought and dryness after a long period of flooding in the spring. The  fire is now in the process of being contained. abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/jet-tanker-called-fight-texas-wildfire-34512480

Ever since the Industrial Revolution the earth has been warming up and the population has been growing at an increasing rate. The severity of natural disasters is increasing as well. We are seeing larger wild fires and floods than ever. We are sacrificing our own health and safety for money and life has always been that way especially during the industrial revolutions. When children were forced to work more than 12 hours a day in an attempt to help their parents put food on the table back at the farm. Now everyone is affected by this need for money to help themselves while also disregarding the affects they have on the world.
