Bernie Sanders is on the rise in the presidential polls, especially in the polls in Iowa and New Hampshire. Way back in late May, Sanders was way behind his competitor, Hilary Clinton, when the ration was 57% to 16%. Hilary Clinton also ran for president in 2008 against President Obama, which to other people , an unexpected lost. Bernie Sanders is coming up with his plan to raise minimum wage to $15-- more than double the current $7.25 rate in Iowa. Sanders also has been a consistent and vocal opponent of NAFTA and the TTP during the 23 years in Congress. Also, he has an excellent plan that includes, free tuition for all public universities, universal education for pre-kindergarten and a whooping $1 trillion investment for new infrastructure. Bernie is winning our hearts and is closer an closer to winning the presidential race. Bernie recognizes the huge and growing gap between rich and poor, a inspirational message to America. In order to keep moving forward, he must remain consistent with his speeches and plans , then hopefully the presidential spot is his to keep.

It seems he is really geared towards impacting the younger generation. Free college would save so many people from being in years of debt. And investing in pre-k programs would give children a head start, and allow them to be more prepared for elementary school. I'm interested to see how his numbers turn out as the race goes on!

ReplyDeleteOverall, Sander's plans will tremendously help people who are struggling financially. I especially like his plan to raise minimum wage to $15.00. Who can afford to pay for a place to live, transportation, food, and clothes making only around $8.00 an hour? Also, investing in pre-kindergarten is a great idea for children who need a little extra help before they start school. One's childhood shapes who one is as an adult, so getting all children in the U.S. better education will shape a greater nation in the future.
