This article addresses the Iranian nuclear deal. The deal limits Iran’s nuclear involvement and is a step towards peace, and antiterrorism. The bill passed with 62 (democratic)/38 (republican) votes. The democrats congratulated Obama for getting the deal passed, even with the few votes. As a result, Obama will be remembered as a president that can secure laws without any republican vote. The Republican Party opposed the deal and rallied to stop it. It seems that Republicans feel this deal supports terrorism rather than limits Iran, and that they are not a commendable nation.

The deal:

·       Allows Iran to continue research but must they must follow the “break out” one-year rule.
Prohibits more than 6,104 centrifuges.

·       Allows only enough enriched uranium to power parts of the country

·       Lengthens Breakout time, the amount of time Iran has to develop a nuclear weapon, which is two months, is to be extended to one year.

·       Prohibits the Fordow plant from enriching uranium for the next 15 years.

·       There must be inspections to insure that there will be no military related development

·       Sanctions will be lifted if Iran complies the deal.

                 This deal is similar to the Treaty of Versailles, where Germany was sanctioned. Under these sanctions, they had to pay fines and could not have an air force or a navy. Hitler broke this agreement, which ultimately caused of World War II.
