Recently in Virginia a local news broadcast station had a recent tragedy. Parker and Wade a news broadcaster and a camera man who were murdered by a former colleague who had shot 17 rounds during a live interview then shot himself.
What could we have done to prevent this?

I feel as this job contains so many pressures of  obligations we need some sort of phychological analyst to help prevent these sort of tragedies. Obviously this man had many mental concerns as he sued for "racial discrimination " when that indeed did not happen at his previous position at another station and other issues have happened to have had him fired. He obviously also had anger issues as seen though his social media this is also a issue that needs to be fixed. We as people who hire people need to pay more attention to this things as we our looking for new people to hire. These  psychological exams may in the future help prevent these tragedies.

  1. I agree. I think that when looking for a new employee, we should keep an eye out for signs that could show mental disability. This way, events like this could be prevented in the future.

  2. I agree with this. I think they need to interview the employee more carefully next time. They sometimes don't look close enough and just assume their fine. - Kayleigh Smerud

  3. I agree. It's sad that they lost their lives the way they did and nobody could've ever expected it. I think that from now on, after this incident occurred, people will be more cautious about the employees they're hiring. -Lia Kerkman 6th
