  1. It's sad that so many of the stories in the news are about murder these days. (Rachel Devine 6th period)

  2. I think that teenagers and children have too easy of access to firearms. This is a permanent solution to probably only temporary problems.

  4. More and more killings are happening within family's homes these days, sad sad sad.

  5. I wonder what drove this teen to commit such a violent act. It is so easy for practically anyone to get their hands on a gun these days; stricter firearm laws need to be enacted for the safety of everyone in a community.

  6. It's insane how people our own age can commit crimes like this. It's sad that people are no longer safe in their own homes.

  7. The availability of weaponry in neighborhoods now is incredibly discomforting. This teenager, while probably already enduring some mental health issues, seems to only add to the reasons why firearms aren't necessary for the every day American life. Sometimes our protection can also be our biggest threat.

  9. I wonder why this teen wanted to harm his parents. Also, where was the gun and how did he get it? I believe that if a gun is in the house it is probably best to have it locked away and secured to prevent something like this.

  10. It is unbelievable that a teen is capable of killing his own parents. It is crazy that things like this happen in the world today. My condolences to the family. It makes me wonder if anyone had noticed his behavior prior to the event, or how he gained access to a gun. There must have been some kind of physiological issue that had been building, it is so sad that things had to end this way.

  11. Whatever drove this kid to kill his parents disturbed him so much that he could not stand to live with the burden. Despite the tragedy, we still need to look at what caused this not just that he was a crazy kid. We should never underestimate anyone of any age.
