Any person who has been on an airplane knows the displeasure
of having an uneasy flyer seated directly in front of you. Whether it’s a jumpy
toddler or an irritable man just trying to get the seat recliner to lean back,
the flexible yet stubborn airplane seats can put one through a range of
emotions. For Paris resident Edmund Alexandre, 60, airplane seat drama landed
him a front row seat in the U.S Federal court Thursday.
The United States had a
valid reason to accuse Alexandre. The United States has charged him with interference
with flight crewmembers after an incident occurred on the American Airlines
flight 62 Miami to Paris. A seat belonging to the passenger in front of Mr.
Alexandre was reportedly difficult to adjust, therefore irritating Alexandre. Mr. Alexandre flew into an annoyed rage and began to cause a commotion that went from small to sky-high. The long-time Parisian began to argue with the
passenger in front. The flight crew attempted to ameliorate the argument by
offering to change Alexandre’s seat and begged him to lower his voice.
All
plans backfired and the level of dramatics took off. Witnesses claimed
that Mr. Alexandre had been asked several times to agree with crew-members to
move seats, however, he disobeyed. Alexandre got up and followed a flight
attendant towards the back of the plane. He then grabbed the crewmember’s arm
and began to yell at him. Based on his immediate misconduct, air marshals broke
cover in order to handcuff and arrest Alexandre. He has been charged and his bail has been set to $500 dollars.

There have been a number of reports of flights taking emergency landings or detours because of problem fliers and I honestly tthink people should stop making such a big fuss about these things.
ReplyDeleteI feel like there was something else going on with him that cause him to go from 0 to 100 so quickly. There needs to be a better understanding of who is getting on the flight and how to deal with them.
