L.A. Mayor proposes $13.25 minimum wage

The minimum wage is thought of being raised a good amount for the year 2017. This is for the city of Los Angeles, California. The mayor of the city thinks of raising it to $10.25 in 2015, $11.75 in 2016 and $13.25 in 2017. This will be good for all the people by earning more money for what they do. Owners of businesses were having a troubling time with this. The mayor of the city is backed up by county of federation of labor. It will help thousands of people in what they work in
People will be happy of the amount of money they will be making. This will help people not have to struggle so much to get by in everyday life. It This will all take an affect in the economy in many different ways. This minimum wage will make the pay rates of others go up. Some business owners might have to lay off workers because of this change. The city of Los Angeles will see the affect it has on its city in the following years.

  1. I think the increase of minimum wage will only solve problems temporarily, and soon we will be stuck in the same boat again. When minimum wage rises producers will raise prices of goods to meet a profitable income in turn lowering the value of the dollar.
