Massive Bank Hacking (5th period)

http://money.cnn.com/2014/08/28/technology/security/bank-hack/index.html?iid=HP_River

The link above takes you to an article which informs us that seven of the top fifteen banks have been hacked by someone (or some people) who have used never before seen malware to break into the companies' systems. One of the banks that was attacked and which seems to be getting the most attention is J.P. Morgan Chase Bank.

This article was published by Jose Pagliery, a reporter for one of the most famous news stations in the country, CNN. I find this article quite interesting because of the way the reporter chooses to word the information (some of it not even true.) For example, in the article, CNN claims that seven banks were attacked while Aljazeera claims that only four banks were attacked and BBC says that only two to five were attacked. In this CNN article, it also does not emphasize how these string of attacks affect the individual while the other two sources do. Is it because CNN doesn't want its fellow Americans panicking, or is there something else to the story? I also find it not to be coincidental at all in how the United States is ready to point fingers at Russia and other eastern European countries. CNN doesn't claim to have hard evidence but Aljazeera says that there is strong evidence that these hackers were working for Russia and were able to bounce and use the signal of many Latin American countries. In the end, this is a terrible threat against one of the most strongest banks in our country and these hackers should be caught and punished.

Below are the links for Aljazeera's and BBC's version of the event.
