Puerto Rico Aid by Jules Stowe

Even though hurricane Maria struck Puerto Rico, leaving it powerless, help has yet to come. Residents are having to survive without water, food, and electricity. Federal Officers claim help is on the way, but the time seems to be dragging our for the citizens in Puerto Rico. At least 16 are dead, but without the needed help its hard to tell is that is all.

this is important because Puerto Rico is in fact the USA.Those people need to have help and supplies as soon as the possibly can or more people will get hurt and die. This series of hurricanes will most likely leave lasting devastation in their wake for year and years, and Puerto Rico is only a portion of the overall destruction.

  1. I think it's great that the U.S. is providing aid to its territories in need.

  2. It is good to find out that the US is providing some aid. From the news and words from the President, you would never know that Puerto Rico was in need. With all of the coverage of North Korea and the NFL, the people in need have not gotten the proper help they deserve

  3. We need to pull together as a community to help this poor island that had a direct hit by Hurricane Maria. In fact majority of Puerto Rico’s population are American citizens, so we should help our own. We could try donnating clothes, food, and clean water to help people survive duruing this harsh time.
