Ian Hille 6th period post #4

Due to the recent terrible  hurricane in Puerto Rico which caused a large ammount of damage and left many without shelter, food, and with injuries, the U.S. has decided to send down the USNS comfort hospital ship to help the people of Puerto Rico who are in need. The U.S. Air Force is also sending down additional aircraft for support.

I think this is great that our government is helping Puerto Rico right now because they are obviously in need of a lot of help after the recent horrible hurricane.

  1. I'm happy that we are helping Puerto Rico and it's about time the President started to pay attention to conflicts other than his obsession with the NFL.

  2. Although these recent disasters have struck the United States, its territories, and Mexico, one must acknowledge the good that has come from the catastrophes. First response has definitely become much more prevalent and effective in life saving, even in the past twenty years. Implementation of new technology, such as commercial and industrial drones, have played a major part in survival search that should not be overlooked.

  3. I feel as if we are forgetting about Puerto Rico, as the news is being swarmed recently. First response for Puerto Rico is definitely important during these times.

  4. I agree that it is odd that it took a disaster for us to help a struggling country, but I'm proud we eventually did. As strange and selfish as it might be it's still better than doing nothing.
