In today's politics, many women have sexist comments thrown at them routinely. Especially powerful ones - such as Hillary Clinton. However, though Kellyanne Conway is at the opposite ideological pole from Mrs. Clinton, criticisms are expressed using absurd sexist themes, from both genders. Karen Finney, senior adviser of the Clinton campaign, says that it's caused by fear of strong women and women with power, and that comments about their appearance and other trivial things are meant to delegitimize that power. Though Ms. Conway has had some mishaps, such as her comments to a "Bowling Green Massacre," and "alternative facts," but the comments about her outfits or her hair have little to no relevance. The recent criticisms have stemmed from the picture of her sitting on her knees on a couch in the Oval Office. Many conservative women, such as Ms. Conway, have emphasized their femininity to distance themselves from feminists. Ms. Conway said she supported many feminist principles but said she would not call herself one because feminism is anti-male, pro-abortion, and it was liberal.
Though this article was obviously very biased from a liberal point of view, it expressed some points from non-biased point of view. Though Kellyanne Conway was a campaign adviser to president Trump, a conservative, she still gets harsh criticism, and I think that that's an important thing to point out, to see things from a more unbiased point of view.
