Wildfire in Canada - Bennett Copley 8th
Right now, near Fort McMurray Alberta, a wildfire rages (though it is slowly becoming less "raging"). This wildfire caused several thousand people to be evacuated from the city in Alberta, Canada including Syrian refugees. Terrible tragedies and natural disasters such as this have ravaged the belongings of the citizens of North America as long as there have been citizens of North America, but it seems like a little bit of fire isn't going to stop anyone from living where they want. A prime example of this resilience is Hurricane Katrina, which destroyed essentially the entire city of New Orleans in 2005, but if you visit New Orleans today, the city is as alive as it ever was or will be.
