Darby McMahon Pd#9, Food Lables Get a Makeover

The labels on the food you buy are going to look a lot different in the next few years, and the government hopes the change will help you make healthier decisions. First lady, Michelle Obama, made the announcement about the FDA-approved revamp of the labels. The new labels make it easier for you to see how many calories people are eating, with a bolder font. Manufacturers will also be forced to add the amount of sugar in the product on the labels, as well as clearer serving sizes. Nutrition labels have not been changed significantly in over two decades.
