Summary:
For a couple weeks (or so) Waterton Canyon park in Colorado has been closed. Of course, this seems like no big deal. Well, given that the reason for the park closing is because of park-goers taking selfies with wild bears it is still all worthy of a mighty facepalm. People seem to not realize the danger of doing such things, or not caring about the danger of doing them, I suppose. The photos were hashtagged "#bearselfie" and hikers and other park-goers risked their lives taking one.
Analysis:
Well welcome to America land of the free and home of the idiots. The mere fact that a bear can decimate any human just by the swipe of its paw should be enough to make no one ever want to get close to any bear. But in this case these park-goers and hikers made the horrible decision that could've ended up in life-threatening injuries. Though there's not much to this story, this says a lot about us as people. We will put our lives in danger for a couple of laughs from irrelevant people. Go us.
Its like people forget that bears are wild animals and can rip their face off at any moment. Does anyone remember what happened to Goldilocks?
