Although I do not exactly encourage abortion, I think the pope's new rule is for the better. Many women have no choice but to have an abortion and should be able to be forgiven for it. If a woman has an abortion because she knows that if the baby is born, it will not be safe or have a good life, then she would be able to be forgiven for it. This article shows how religion has changed over time. It is becoming less strict and more fair for everyone. In the New World, for example the Massachusetts Bay Colony, if you didn't follow the strict set of rules that came with the religion, you were imprisoned or banished. Today however, more and more sins are being forgiven.

There are many ways that abortion could be a benefit or quite the opposite, but I agree that forgiveness is the best way. Our society today strives for equality rather than isolation, and I think that this is a step in the right direction.

I'm glad he's forgiving them. I mean, I don't think that they could go to hell for it or anything but when you have an abortion I'm sure a lot of people hate you or judge you and I think for those women it would be comforting to know that they've been forgiven

Im glad they used the word "forgiven" because even though abortion is not the best option, it should still not be an "okay" thing to do.
