This Sunday at 10:30 a.m., James Minter, 26, shot his girlfriend, infant son, and pastor trying to intervene in Oasis Tabernacle Church in Selma. This all happened during a church service. Fortunately, the infant was only injured in the hand. All three are victims are in stable condition.
I can't believe someone would shoot their 1-month old son. It's horrible of course for him to shoot his girlfriend and an elderly pastor but c'mon! His own newborn son? I don't see why anyone would think thats ok. Obviously him and his girlfriend were not happy with each other but their is absolutely no excuse to hurt that person or any innocent, indefensible bystanders.
What an awful thing! There are so many things wrong with this situation: There was a shooting. In a church. With three victims.One was his girlfriend. Another was his spiritual leader. The third was his newborn, infant, helpless, innocent son that hasn't yet had the chance to sin a day in his life! I am horrified that this is even a problem. It goes back to the gun control laws. Either don't give out guns or don't give out guns to people with unstable backgrounds. But something needs to be done. How many shootings will be too many shootings?
