Luz Lopez(4th Period)-More children getting drunk on hand sanitizer

A girl named Nhaijah Russell, whose six years old, drank three to four squirts of hand sanitizer at school. The hand sanitizer had enough alcohol to make her very drunk. When she got to the hospital, she slurred her words and couldn't walk. Alcohol is very toxic. Alcohol poisoning is very harmful to your body. It can cause you confusion, vomiting and drowsiness. In rare cases it can cause stop a child from breathing. Hand sanitizer doesn't really help in schools. Nhaijah's blood-alcohol level was .179, which is considered drunk for an adult. Dr. Lopez, the doctor who treated Nhaijah back to health, says that parents and teachers should put the hand sanitizer in a place where the child can't reach it.
I think that seeing a kid drunk is a scary thing. The kid was only six and she thought the hand sanitizer wouldn't harm her or anything. She drank it and was completely drunk. What's more scary is that more cases of hand sanitizer poisoning are growing each year.

    1. I agree with you. I also wonder why school's aren't doing anything to stop this from happening. (Alejandra Hernandez 6t period)
