Summary:
On September 5th, what started as a normal Saturday morning, resulted in a Georgian wife and husband killed, possibly by their two sons, Christopher and Cameron Ervin. It all began when a 911 call was made by the mother and she told the dispatcher that her sons were trying to kill her. Then the line went silent. The police arrived at the scene at 7:50 am and found the couple severely stabbed and the house's gas line meddled with. The authorities are currently trying to figure out the motive for the crime, but believe that the boys did in fact plan to burn the house up. They are being charged with first degree arson and two counts each of aggravated assault on their parents. The hearing should take place on Friday and in the meantime, the boys are being held in separate isolation cells.
Analysis:
I believe that no one that was acquainted with the Ervin's expected that something like this would go down. "They're just an everyday normal family in the neighborhood," said Clint Miller, a neighbor to the Ervin's. This really just goes to show that as much as we think we may know people, there is darkness hidden inside of everyone. In this case, there definitely must've been something really dark within because two sons just turning around and killing their parents seems a bit out there. In fact, there wasn't any record of calls to the police before the incident and no one that lived in the house had a criminal record. This event is just surrounded by a lot of confusion mostly because for something this drastic to have occurred, there should be clues that would explain where this all started.
