Donald Trump Isn't That Important STOP WRITTING ABOUT HIM! - Juliet Nelson

Donald Trump and Ted Cruz have just done something very unexpected. They are ‘tag-teaming’ in their presidential races. Trump, the moneyman, and Cruz the Texas senator, began working together in their presidential elections and it seems to be taking on the desired effect. While they differ in some of their political views, their tactics to help each other in this race are working. Because of Trump’s fame in this election, and his friendship with Ted Cruz, Cruz supporters are eager to listen to Trump. Many believe that if Cruz doesn’t win the 2016 it wont be the worst thing to happen to them because Trump is saying the same things as Cruz, for example their immigration policies are similar. Multiple Cruz supporters have said that they would be content with Trump has president because Cruz says that he is proud to call Trump a friend and fellow political leader.

Anthony Zurcher wrote this article on September 10, 2015, in the middle of the big Trump vs. the media event that’s happening currently. Every major newspaper corporation has at least 15 articles written about Donald Trump, and here is another one. Anthony however, doesn’t seem to have an opinion about Trump. His article was very blandly written, making the article boring to read and analyze. The entire article was quotes from other journalists, Cruz, Trump, and a few supporters. The author never formed his own opinion, making it harder for his reader to form opinions as well, and keeping the point of the article very simple; Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are now friends and here’s a possibility as to why. That’s not a very diverse topic to write about, and because there are so many other article about Donald Trump and his idiocy, I mean possible presidency, this article makes little to no dent in the media scene in terms of significance.

  1. My favorite part about this post is the irony of its title.
I think what attracts people to write about Trump is the hilarity of his entire candidacy.
I'm also not surprised that Ted Cruz and Donald Trump are friends.

  2. Emily Miller I was going for irony, but I'm also serious. The reason why he SOLD OUT at AA Center tonight (September 14) is because the media has given him so much attention. Now I know that not everyone there was pro-Trump but he's still getting the attention he doesn't deserve. - Juliet Nelson
