Yosemite Fire - Quentin Noble (absent)

Yosemite Fire
Yosemite Park, a national park largely traveled by tourists and outdoor enthusiast was not the bet place to be today. As the usual people were hiking, sight seeing, and other activities of that nature, a fire stuck the forest on a side of a mountain. Trees were on fire from roots to top. It was only minutes until it spread to become hazardous for over 100 hikers. The 100 days of the hikers were cut short. They were strongly recommended to evacuate. Most of the hikers were evacuated by helicopter. The fire was on the back half of the east dome, a granite area. No injuries or deaths have been reported.
The author, Jethro Mullen, did not have an opinion on this event. She was just trying to inform the nation about a ramped wild fire. The article was written today, September 8th. It was published to CNN, but because of the informative nature of this article, there was no viewpoint. I already knew that wild fires were dangerous and are more common in dry parts of the year. This article was written for the general public to inform everyone about the wild fire event. This article is important to keep us updated on what is happening in out important national parks.
