The United States have launched more than 150 airstrikes in Iraq against ISIS in the past couple of months. Recently, he Unites States have hit 35 km southwest of Baghdad. This airstrike destroyed an ISIS fighting position that had been firing at Iraqi forces. Last week Obama asked congress for authorization to train and equip moderate Syrian rebels. Approval from Congress will also the U.S. to accept money from other countries to back the Syrian opposition forces. Congress will vote on the issue by the end of this week. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has stated that nearly 40 nations have agreed to contribute to the fight against ISIS..
I'm happy to see that many countries have agreed to help fight this terrorist organization and I hope that this speeds up the process of defeating ISIS. I hope to see that these airstrikes continue to help the Iraqi forces battle ISIS. I know that we will defeat ISIS. The real question is, how many more innocent Americans will ISIS murder before we completely defeat them?
