Sand Collapse Kills
Nine-Year-Old-Girl
While the Franks family was on
vacation to Oregon Beach, their kids were being kids and digging a
hole in the sand when it collapsed without warning. Their nine-year-old little
girl, Isabel Grace Franks, was under the sand for about a total of 5 minutes before they could get her out. When
the police and firefighters finally dug her out, she was unconscious and not
breathing. She was transported to the nearest hospital where she was declared
dead.
Analysis
This article
could have been created to make the dangers of this event known. Later in the article
it says this is one of three reported sand collapse deaths this year, with the
other two being adult men. So it’s clear this is something to be aware of next
time you go to the beach.
Wow that's terrible. I feel sorry for the parents and family.
ReplyDeleteThis is so scary. Just thinking that really everything can be dangerous in the right situation. It really makes you question not only your own saftey but the saftey of those you feel responsible for.
