South Carolina father held in deaths of 5 children, (reviewed by Harrison Epstein)

A father of 5 young children was recently found carrying his murdered children in the back of his car, their bodies wrapped in garbage bags. He was going on a 700 mile trip and he told his neighbors that he was simply moving with his children to a home somewhere else. Currently the reason why the man did this crime is unclear also why he left three decomposing bodies in his car. He was found at a police checkpoint and authorities say that when checking him out he seemed disoriented and slightly hostile. Not to mention the smell, cleaning supplies, large garbage bags, blood, and children's clothing with out the children. Child welfare actually had received a call from one of the children but they decided the children were in no immediate danger and did not do anything.

This just goes to show how awful some people can be and how ineffective some government services can be. The fact that child services received a call from a young child begging for help and did not do anything proves this. Of course it isn't all their fault but also the fault of people who call these services for pranks. Another thing is that the man who killed these kids was not terribly intelligent. I mean his whole attempt at hiding the bodies was very poorly done and that goes to show that now a days anyone is at risk.

  1. This is awful, he must have been psychologically unstable to be able to murder his own children. Now I understand that there are other factors that play into this subject, but it sickens me that these children cried out for help and were dismissed. It just goes to show you what kind of world we live in, where trust has be abused and the people that need help don't receive it.

  2. This is so sick. And like Madeline said, this is the world we are living in now. How could a father do this to his own children. This is a terrible terrible thing.
