Many women in their early 20's have been assaulted to what seems like the same assailant. He attacks them from behind, rips off their clothing butt doesn't actually sexually assault them. In my own opinion, I find this man incredibly cruel and disgusting. Women on this college campus are now scared to walk around by themselves in their own city and campus. They call their friends and even campus police to escort them home because they are truly afraid to go anywhere alone.In this article there are police reports from all of the victims in this case and they all seem to go about the same way. This man is an attention seeker and is just plain sick. The fact that this is happening where parents are ensured that their daughters will be safe causes a big distrust in campus security and how things are handled in college. For the girls sake, I hope they catch this criminal.

It makes me very upset to think that people should now be scared for their safety to walk around a campus that they spend most of their everyday lives on.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very horrifying thought, considering college is meant to be a time of independence where one learns to sufficiently live on their own. The fact that women need to be escorted to various places in order to feel secure completely ruins this purpose. The depressing part is that there is no way that this is the women's fault. It is unimaginable how someone could be so mentally sick as to assault anyone. Hopefully, this awful man will be found soon.
ReplyDeleteI think as a society we tend to overlook how dangerous it is simply to exist as a woman, you have to be on a constant level of awareness that borders on paranoia just to stay safe.
ReplyDeleteIt is uncanny that people, specifically females, are not able to feel safe walking around there college campus, and it is sick that someone would do something so demoralizing to them. I hope a solution can be found to end this for good and hold the perpetrator responsible for his horrible actions. The more he gets away with it, the more he will continue to do so.
ReplyDeleteIve noticed that on or around college campuses women have trouble being able to get charges pressed against assulers because it would dirty the colleges reputation. Its sickening that cases like this can be taken so lightly and even ignored when in big cities.
