More Trouble For Ferguson Police Officers By: Zaria Chambers

I'm sure many of us have heard about the fatal shooting of Michael Brown an African American teen who was shot multiple times by a white police officer. Once many people heard of the news fights and protest began to take place all across the United States. Since this tragedy has happened three police officers in the Ferguson area have resigned from their jobs. Just recently one police officer resigned and another retired, their names were Lt. Ray Alberts and Dan Page.
The police officers were seen pointing pistols and threatening protesters in Ferguson, Missouri and also shoving reports out of the way. Lt Ray Alberts was the one who was seen pointing his pistol in a protesters face and threatening to kill him. " I'm going to f--ing kill you" one reporter recorded him saying. This officer was very aggressive toward other protesters and even through out some racial slurs while being escorted away by other law enforcement.

I think that this whole situation has just gone out of hand. It is absolutely sad that we have police officers that work to try and protect us and it turns out that it's the total opposite. We have police officers shooting innocent people and threatening other peoples lives. It seems as if police officers take their anger out on innocent victims and on top of that it seems as if police officers get caught up with certain situations like these. Something needs to be done to stop all of this violence.

  1. (Myles Bennett) This is really interesting. Wasn't the police officer provoked? I believe I read somewhere that he had had urine thrown on him and possibly had some threatening comments directed at him. I am not justifying the way he acted, but I do not think he did this randomly or out of the blue.

  2. I agree. It's awful that the people we are suppose to look up to, are losing our trust because of such terrible decision making.
