Lighthouse For Sale! By Daizha Lankford:

This intriguing article by Shelley Hazen, caught my eye instantly as it is about lighthouses! Not only are these beautiful structures used for providing lighting for the various ships and boats that cross through our water masses, but now they can be your own personal house. The government is practically giving them away! Some are being given away as freebies and others have been auctioned off. Many non profit organizations are buying these historical structures and turning them into museums, houses, or even bed and breakfast. The prices that these lighthouses were bought have ranged from 78,000 to nearly 1 million dollars. We all know that some of the best lighthouses were made in the 13 colonies. New England, and upstate in the east coast in the late 1800s. ! All of the beautiful land surrounding these states made for a great location to make a lighthouse!

    Oh wow, I didn't know that the best lighthouses were built during the time that the thirteen colonies were established. That is interesting, but I wonder how safe they would be to live in. Also, how in the world would they get an Interent connection?
