Julian Smith, Period 6
Recently their has been two security breaches at the White House. The first breech happened when a man jumped the fence and made it all the way into the white house before he was stopped. The other happened when a man refused to stop his car at a white house complex entrance after officers asked him to stop.
The jumping of the fence is an unbelievable occurrence. People jump the fence all the time but its basically unheard of for some one to reach the doors. The case is more concerning because the jumper had a knife on him. Apparently the jumpers reasoning for his action was that he believed the atmosphere was collapsing and he had to get this information to the president as soon as he could. The jumper is scheduled to appear in front of the U.S. Magistrate on Monday. This act could result in being charged with 10 years in prison.
The Barging vehicle incident happened at the entrance at 15th and E Streets, where the driver did not stop after the Secret Service ordered him to. The driver did not make it through barricades but refused to leave and was then taken into custody.
Events like these make me worry that if we can barley ensure the security of our president how well are we managing the security of our citizens? Td Simons 2 pd
ReplyDeleteWow... it's really surprising the reasons people have for some of this. I wonder what the driver's reason was.
